Practical Design Experience:
1988 to present :
I work as a freelance designer and painter, by appointment, through Interior Design firms, and to the public, creating murals, floorcloths, handpainted fabrics, painted furniture, tiles, glassware + dinnerware, and other accessories.
You can see a comprehensive gallery of my projects from 2007 until about 2015 at my blog Painting It, which I do not regularly update at this time : BLOG
More recent work can be found on my facebook art page FACEBOOK
In 2007 I began to dedicate more time to developing my own line of hand painted pottery, which in the intervening decade has become a very important and satisfying aspect of my artistic output. To that work of self expression, I have also added some painted furniture, time permitting. These items are available for purchase in my ETSY shop.
In 2017 I moved back to Barcelona, Spain. This relocation was many years in the planning. I am very happy to be established in Barcelona once again.

As early as I can remember I loved to paint, draw and make. My parents encouraged this interest and I learned to fill almost all spare time creating things…art materials were my preferred toys. When I was about ten years old my parents decided to move from the New York area to Spain, where I lived the remainder of my formative years, mainly in Barcelona, but also for a few years in the south of Spain. In 1984 we relocated to England at a very important time for me in my education. I was finally ready to begin professional formation in design, at art college in England. detail
