Hand Painted Fabric

I usually paint on cotton muslin, which is then heat set. This painted fabric is durable, lightfast, washable, and can be kept outside; for example, on a covered porch.

I paint yardage freehand, in apparently repeating pattern; for upholstery or drapes.

Pillows are painted freehand as self-contained compositions, with complementing fronts and backs.

Pillows can also be made up from fabric yardage that has an over-all, apparent repeat design.

I also paint on silk fabric in small quantities as wearable art.

Additionally I can paint on a variety of treated, or fabric laminated surfaces, such as lampshades or window shades.
